…Well, a belated new year, at least. Hi all! GabuEx here. I hope you all had a great winter holiday season, a great new year’s celebration, and a great 2012 in general.
We’re still hard at work behind the scenes, but to keep you interested and your appetites whetted, I thought we’d release a few teaser screenshots from sections not seen before from case 1. Nothing spoiler-y; we’re still keeping the story itself under wraps to ensure that you aren’t bored when case 1 is released – but, hopefully, these should intrigue you enough for now while we work on getting case 1 completed.
(And no, please don’t ask about release dates – we’ll let you know when we’re prepared to commit to something that won’t result in us working 39-hour days to get things completed. :P)

You have to call her something. Most of the fandom knows her as “Derpy” and that’s my preferred name, so that’s what we went with. Nothing against “Ditzy Doo”.
i was going to suggest something along the lines of a ‘name selection’ deal, like the player could choose the preferred name for bubble-butt pony from a drop-down list before they start playing or something. like how you choose the name for your rival from a list in the pokemon games. but then that would add more strain to the voice actors, wouldnt it.
So this is a “majority rules” sort of thing, huh? Even if canon itself has more or less retconned the name? Well, whatever.
The only thing that one could argue that “canon” has done is to remove her name entirely, which means that now it’s back to the fandom to decide what her name is. The only actual canonical reference to “Ditzy Doo” is in Winter Wrap-Up, during which there is no indication whatsoever that it’s supposed to refer to the mare in question. Most fans know her as “Derpy Hooves”, and I prefer that name (and, IMO, I find it less spiteful than the obviously-insulting “Ditzy”), so that’s what we went with.
Like I said, you have to pick at least some name, unless you make a gag out of it like Turnabout Storm did. No decision here is going to make everyone happy. I apologize if you would prefer “Ditzy Doo”, but I hope you can understand why we didn’t choose that name.

Not sure how long the game is planned to be, but have you considered releasing the game in epsiodes? Kind of like how “Tales of monkey island” was released. This should help keeping people exited about the game while you can continue working on the later episodes. =D
We are planning to release cases as soon as they are completed. Case 1 shall be released as soon as it’s ready. Discussions and preliminary work on Case 2 has already gone underway.
I’m getting scared, I’ve noticed recently that hasbros been giving cease and desist orders to other original pony games out there. Aren’t you guys concerned they’re gonna do it to you too?
Simple solution. Drop the name and move the site to normal country. If they can not address you as the body you can not receive any legal letters.
If you actually want to release this game, I would shut this site down and stop posting updates on EQD until you are finished.
I agree that posting updates on EQD, Derpibooru, /mlp/, Ponychan, etc. should be a nono for the developers as well as ANYONE who knows about this game to keep it out of the spotlight. Shutting this site down may be a bit extreme, but then again I don’t want this project to be shut down ;(
How do you suggest we get updates on progress and eventual releases?
Simple, we don’t. I know the makers like the support we show them, but it’s better if we do not get any updates than having whole thing closed. It hurt when FiM got canceled but I know I would never actually play it. Fighting games are not my thing. However this is something I’m really looking up to.
MLI might be on a bit more secured site because the title is different and does not come under trademark violation but characters still are.
What if they just go covert with their updates? Like, starting up a twitter as a guy giving updates on his “baby”? Y’know, detailing his first steps, the bug that he came down with the other day, perhaps even linking to pictures.
Just going to say this, apparently Norton likes to recognize the installer as ‘Potentially harmful’ and has auto deleted it (easy enough to get around but figured letting you guys know might help). Can’t wait to see what becomes of this!

Damn, Chaos everywhere, Hasbro C&D Fighting is Magic, some guy sabotaging Welcome to Ponyville(i still have hope for both of them), I understand the covert-ness, but i would be nice for some kind of update somewhere.
Its been almost a month and all the other games seems to have been closed so whats to stop them from closing this one? Its true this game is interesting, however what I really would like to happen if there where more point and click adventure like Quest for glory and King quest. Don’t get me wrong this game has great potential, but that’s if they haven’t already been closed or will be. I hope that doesn’t happen ,although seeing the other ones being closed like Luna’s Quest which was another game I was hoping wouldn’t close and from what I found out it seems as though it did. To the Creature of this game be careful and Don’t give up there allot of people wanting this to work out.

there is nothing about this game here that I can see. That be cool if some one made a Kingdom Heart Graphic about a Ponies with a Intelligent Cat as a Side Kick in this world If your intelligent you can use magic to use or to move things.

There is such a thing as loving your game to death y’know, at some point you just got to stop polishing and just release it. I wouldn’t want to see this going the same way as Fighting is Magic, but if you keep stalling, we won’t even get to play the demo.
Also remove that frigging security questions, this is the first time I managed to answer it. You need to be autistic to know all that crap.
As this has been the longest wait for an update in this project’s history, are you still actively working on it? I would at least expect a post about it if this were to go on hiatus. Hopefully it’s just that there hasn’t been much to post about.

I have trouble seeing how anyone has trouble with these security questions…
Those who are more of an ace attorney fanatic than a bronie have trouble with these security questions. I only watched the cartoon once from season 1 to 3 and didn’t really bother writing notes down on each events taking place in every episode. I can atleast answer correctly answers that connect frequently in many episodes. But even then I sometimes fail cause of the way the answer is spelled.

It’s really strange to seen “happy new year!” at the end of June. I hope that you guys are trying now to release full game, or you’re now ending it. I’m checking this website every day over and over again always with hope that it will be finally done. Please anserw me is there any kind of date when you will plan to release this game or something?
